The National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28 every year, to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by the Indian physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman (C.V. Raman). On this day, in 1928, the Nobel Prize Winner had made his revolutionary discovery in Physics.
The National Science Day Celebrations are organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, in collaboration with various scientific departments, institutions, and organisations in India.
